Online Feud Spills into Private Circles!

A war of words has erupted online between the girlfriends of Portugal national team players.

Portugal kicked off their World Cup campaign with a match against Congo, where Joao Neves scored for the Portuguese side. Cristiano Ronaldo was largely ineffective throughout the match. Following the game, many Ronaldo fans flooded the comments section of Neves' Instagram account, labeling him 'selfish.' A screenshot was then posted from a fake account supposedly belonging to his girlfriend, Portuguese actress Madalena Aragao, which read, “Go tell your Greatest Of All Time (GOAT) to retire.”

Beneath that image, Cristiano's girlfriend and mother of his children, Georgina Rodriguez commented, “Wow, this generation seems to be advancing quite quickly!” It was later revealed that the screenshot of Madalena's comment was fake, prompting Georgina to delete her own remark. However, in the digital world, not all traces can be easily erased. Screenshots of the exchange have since flooded social media platforms including X, Reddit, and others.
