Brazil surged to the top of Group C on goal difference after a dominant 3-0 victory over Haiti, ending the Caribbean nation's 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign.
Forward Matheus Cunha made an immediate impact after replacing Igor Thiago in the starting lineup. Cunha gave Brazil the lead with a scrappy opening goal before doubling the advantage minutes later with a spectacular clinical finish.
Vinicius Junior then extended the lead to 3-0, calmly winning a one-on-one battle with the Haitian goalkeeper to slot the ball home.
Haiti attempted to spark a comeback in the second half by shifting from a 5-4-1 to a 4-4-2 formation.
However, Brazil lowered their intensity during the final 45 minutes, and the score remained unchanged until the final whistle.
