Eid Prayers in Dhaka: Timings and Venues

Multiple Eid congregations will be held at various Eidgahs and mosques across the capital on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. The main congregation at the National Eidgah ground will take place at 7:30 a.m. If weather conditions remain unfavorable, the main prayer will shift to the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 8:00 a.m.
The Islamic Foundation has announced that five Eid congregations will be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque this year at 7:00 a.m., 8:00 a.m., 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., and 10:45 a.m.
At Dhaka University Central Mosque, two Eid congregations will be held at 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. The Salimullah Muslim Hall Mosque will host a congregation at 7:00 a.m., while the Dr. Muhammad Shahidullah Hall lawn and Fazlul Haque Muslim Hall eastern field will each host prayers at 8:00 a.m.
The Eid congregation at the south plaza of the National Parliament will be held at 7:30 a.m.
At Gulshan Central Mosque (Azad Mosque), three Eid congregations will take place at 5:45 a.m., 7:30 a.m., and 9:30 a.m.
In addition, Eid congregations will be held at over 100 Eidgahs and more than 1,500 mosques across the capital in the morning.
On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha, President Mohammad Shahabuddin and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman issued separate messages greeting the nation. Leaders of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami, and other political parties also extended Eid greetings.
The National Eidgah ground adjacent to the High Court in Dhaka has been prepared for the main Eid congregation. The President, Prime Minister, Supreme Court judges, diplomats, and people from all walks of life are expected to join the prayer. Special security measures have been put in place for the occasion.
An Islamic Foundation public relations official said that Mufti Muhammad Abdul Malek, khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque, will lead the main congregation at the National Eidgah as imam.
