No dengue deaths reported today

No one died of dengue in the country in the past 24 hours. However, 868 people were admitted to different hospitals with dengue during this period.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) provided the information in its dengue situation report issued up to 8 am Thursday. According to the directorate, 88 people have died from the Aedes mosquito borne disease so far this year. The number of hospitalized patients has risen to 32,248. Currently, 2,083 dengue patients are receiving treatment at different hospitals.
Of the newly admitted patients in the past 24 hours, 68 were admitted to hospitals in the Dhaka North City Corporation area. Another 98 were admitted to hospitals in the Dhaka South City Corporation area. Outside these two city corporation areas, 150 patients were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka Division.
In addition, 205 dengue patients were admitted in Khulna, 110 in Barishal, 109 in Chattogram, 73 in Rajshahi, 38 in Mymensingh and 17 in Rangpur Division.
The country witnessed a severe outbreak of dengue in 2023. More than 321,000 people were infected with dengue that year and 1,705 died. The following year, 101,214 people across the country were infected with dengue. Among them, 575 died. In 2025, the number of dengue cases stood at 102,861 and 413 people died.
According to statistics from the Directorate General of Health Services, more than 400 people died of dengue in 2025 and the number of identified patients was around 102,000.
