David Emon’s second-in-command arrested in Chattogram

Police arrested four individuals, including top criminal David Emon’s second-in-command Mobarak, following a gunfight in Fatikchhari, Chattogram on Wednesday.
District Additional Superintendent of Police Mohammad Rasel confirmed the matter to Agamir Somoy. Five police officers sustained injuries during the gunfight. Police recovered several weapons from the suspects, including a looted foreign pistol.
According to the police, locals refer Mobarak, as Golakata Mobarak. He is a member of exiled Shibir cadre Boro Sazzad’s gang and worked as the second-in-command to David Emon, who is in jail.
Chattogram Superintendent of Police Masud Alam has scheduled a press conference for Thursday at 2:30 pm to provide more details.
Earlier, on 29 July, law enforcement arrested Mobarak Hossain Emon alias David Emon in Jashore while he was attempting to escape to India. Police then interrogated him during a 20-day remand.
