Will not allow anyone to gamble with people's fate anymore: PM

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
"The time has come to build the country. We will not allow anyone to gamble with the fate of the people anymore," said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. He also alleged that some political parties are trying to disrupt the country's development journey by spreading confusion.
Speaking at an event at the Hat Hazari College ground in Chattogram on Sunday evening, the Prime Minister called upon the people of the country to make a decision to confront these confusion-creating political parties.
At the event, which was organized to provide assistance to flood-affected people, Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury, Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, and Hat Hazari's Member of Parliament and State Minister for Land, Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin, also spoke.
The Prime Minister said, "Now we must transform the 40 crore hands of our 20 crore people into the hands of workers. Let us pledge that we will stand firm against those who create obstacles to the country's development."
"Those who believe in democracy, who believe in freedom of speech—every person must decide today. What action will we take against these disruptors, those who want to shut down the streets, those who want to confuse the people? The people of Bangladesh must decide this today," the Prime Minister added.
At the time, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman also informed that the BNP government, with the support of the people, is working to implement its 31-point agenda.
