Iran’s semiofficial Mehr News Agency has released a video of Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. The video was published on Telegram on Saturday, August 8.
The video shows several people surrounding Mojtaba Khamenei. He appears to be speaking with them at the time. However, the Mehr News report did not mention when or where the video was recorded. The identities of the people surrounding him were also not disclosed.
Earlier, on February 28, the United States and Israel launched joint attacks on Tehran and several other cities across Iran. Iran’s then Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, several senior military commanders and civilians were killed in those attacks.
In response, Iran carried out repeated missile and drone attacks on US and Israeli military bases and installations in the region.
Mojtaba Khamenei is the son of the slain Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In early March, the country’s Assembly of Experts elected him as Iran’s new Supreme Leader.
