PM to visit Chattogram and Cox's Bazar today

After assuming office through the 13th parliamentary election, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is visiting Chattogram for the first time today. He will also visit Cox's Bazar district during this trip.
This morning (Sunday), the Prime Minister will leave Dhaka by helicopter and head to Matarbari in Maheshkhali Upazila, Cox's Bazar.
The Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary, Zahidul Islam Rony, confirmed the information Saturday afternoon.
According to the schedule provided by the Prime Minister's Office, he is set to inspect the Matarbari Deep Sea Port, the coal-fired power project, and the activities of the Maheshkhali Integrated Development Authority (MIDA) at 10:30 AM today.
Following that, he will attend a program organized at the West Banshkhali High School and College ground in Baharchhara Union to aid in the rehabilitation of those affected by the recent floods.
Around 1:30 PM, he will land at the Pehelgazi Dighi ground in Fatikchhari Upazila and proceed to Al-Jamiatul Islamia Azizul Uloom Babunagar Madrasa. There, he is scheduled to hold a courtesy meeting with Allama Shah Muhibullah Babunagari and visit the grave of the late Allama Shah Ahmad Shafi.
As per the itinerary, he will take a break at the Hathazari District Council Dak Bungalow at 3:45 PM. Subsequently, the PM is expected to join a program at the Hathazari Government College ground at 5:00 PM, also focused on rehabilitating recent flood victims.
In the evening, the Prime Minister will attend an organizational meeting at the auditorium of the Radisson Blu Hotel in Chattogram. After concluding the day's events, he will depart for Dhaka and is expected to arrive in the capital by night.
