BNP collects two nomination papers for Presidential election

As part of the process of fielding candidates for the presidential election, the ruling party BNP has collected two nomination papers.
Today (Sunday), two nomination papers were collected on behalf of the party from the office of the Returning Officer at the Election Commission building in Agargaon, the capital.
The nomination papers were collected by Chief Whip of the National Parliament Nurul Islam Moni and party leader Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on behalf of BNP. They obtained the papers from the office of the Chief Election Commissioner.
The Election Commission (EC) announced the schedule for the presidential election last Thursday. According to the announced schedule, the last date for submitting nomination papers has been fixed for August 13. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on August 16, and the last time for withdrawal of candidacy is up to 4:00 PM on August 18.
The Election Commission has stated that the presidential election will be held on August 20. Voting will take place on that day from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the National Parliament's session hall.
