A second funeral prayer will be held at Lal Doba High School ground before his burial.
Ziaul Haque, His elder uncle, informed that, "Limon had planned to return home for Eid-ul-Adha this year. But he returned as a dead body. No family should endure this, justice must prevail.” he said.
As his body reached home, grief swept through the area. A large crowd of relatives and locals gathered for a final glimpse of Limon.
Earlier in the morning, when his body arrived in Dhaka, family members broke down in tears. His father, Jahurul Haque, said, “I raised my son with showering love. I never caused him any hardship. I never imagined he would die like this. Only God knows what suffering he went through.”
27 years old Limon was a PhD student at the University of South Florida. He went missing on April 16 along with another student, Borsha. His roommate, U.S. citizen Hisham Saleh Abugharbieh, was later arrested and charged with thier murders.
On April 24, Limon’s body was found near a bridge in Florida. Two days later, on April 26, fishermen recovered the mutilated remains of Borsha from a nearby mangrove forest.
