Case Filed Against Hasnat Abdullah in London

Hasnat Abdullah
The banned Awami League has filed a case against National Citizen Party (NCP) chief organizer Hasnat Abdullah and four other party leaders and activists in London, alleging assault on its members.
The case was filed yesterday (Friday) at the Cambridge Police Station in London. Besides Hasnat Abdullah, who is the Member of Parliament for Cumilla-4 constituency, the case names NCP leaders Ehtasham Haque, Zakir Chowdhury, and Shahin Alam. Among them, Zakir Chowdhury has been taken to the police station for questioning. Several unidentified individuals have also been named as accused in the case.
The NCP UK Alliance confirmed the matter in a press release today (Saturday). Hasnat Abdullah himself also confirmed the development to Agamir Somoy. He said, “The Awami League has filed a case against us. NCP UK Alliance is handling this matter.”
The NCP UK Alliance press release stated, “After conducting a continuous campaign of propaganda and harassment against Hasnat Abdullah and his associates in the UK, the Awami League and supporters of the fallen fascist government have now started a new drama. They have filed a case at the police station accusing Hasnat Abdullah, Ehtesham Haque, Zakir Chowdhury, Shahin Alam, and others of 'indiscriminately beating' Awami League leaders and activists. Through this, they are attempting to waste valuable time of the UK police.”
He also said, “A specialized UK agency has already initiated an investigation into the banned Awami League's terrorist activities, public safety concerns, and their potential impact on the UK's law and order situation. Hasnat Abdullah has thanked the UK law enforcement agencies for their professional and responsible role. However, the fallen Awami League has failed before and will fail again. Despite repeated attempts to disrupt his historic speech at the Oxford Union, his successful interactions with expatriates across the UK, and his efforts to connect with fellow activists, they have been severely defeated every time.”
