Seven Arrested with Weapons in Feni
The accused arrested with weapons
Police have arrested seven individuals along with locally-made weapons in Feni. They were apprehended late Friday night on Shaheen Academy Road in Feni Sadar.
The arrestees are: Khorshed Alam Nayan (35) from Kashpur village in Langalkot, Cumilla; Abdul Kader (24) from Shaktali village; Md. Dulal Mia (28) from Kusta village in Laksham; Rakib Hossain (25) from Shilri area in Chauddagram; Md. Asif (22) from Mohipal in Feni Sadar; Md. Rasel (25) from East Charchandiya area in Sonagazi; and Anwar Hossain alias Bhashani (30) from North Jagdananda village in Kabir Hat, Noakhali.
According to police, the suspects were preparing to commit a robbery at the time of their arrest. Officers recovered two iron machetes, two iron knives, and two iron rods from their possession.
Feni Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Gazi Muhammad Faujul Azim said the detainees are fugitives in multiple robbery cases. They were sent to jail through the Feni court on Saturday afternoon.
