Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi issued a sharp warning to the United States, asserting that Washington bears full responsibility for any violations of the recently signed ceasefire agreement.
During a high-level phone call with Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Araghchi emphasized that the US must remain committed to a complete cessation of hostilities across all fronts.
The discussion centered on the negotiations generated by the 18 June memorandum of understanding (MoU), a breakthrough achieved through mediation efforts and initiatives from Islamabad.
Araghchi expressed formal appreciation for Pakistan’s role in facilitating the diplomatic initiative.
Dar welcomed the recent diplomatic strides and reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to ongoing negotiations aimed at securing long-term stability.
Regarding the progress of the peace process, Dar expressed hope for success in the next stages of the process.
Beyond the ceasefire framework, the two ministers addressed shared bilateral concerns and established a framework for continuous consultation moving forward.
While Pakistan continues to voice support for the talks, the Iranian leadership remains firm that the US must ensure the war ends on every front.
