Dengue hospitalizations surpass 10,000

One person has died from dengue in the country over the past 24 hours. During this period, 242 patients have been admitted to various hospitals. With this, the total number of dengue patients hospitalized this year has reached 10,012.
This information was disclosed today (Saturday) by a press release on dengue sent by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services.
The release said among the patients hospitalized with dengue in the last 24 hours, 133 are from the Dhaka division, 21 from the Mymensingh division, 38 from the Chattogram division, 38 from the Khulna division, and 10 from the Barishal division. As of July 18 this year, a total of 10,012 people have been hospitalized due to dengue.
One death from dengue was recorded in the past 24 hours. This brings the total number of dengue-related deaths this year to 33. Additionally, a total of 9,067 dengue patients have been discharged from hospitals this year. Currently, 912 patients are undergoing treatment in hospitals.
