The government is implementing its election manifesto. At the same time, it is also implementing the July Charter, as it was signed. The current government is implementing both the election manifesto and the July Charter simultaneously.
Prime Minister’s Press Secretary Abu Abdullah M Saleh shared the information on Saturday at the Prime Minister’s Office, marking the current government’s five months in office.
The press secretary said, “There was a lot of talk about development during the previous government’s tenure, but where is that development? In many areas, conditions deteriorated under the fascist government. Among them, the greatest decline was in religious, social, and family values.”
“So long as there is no improvement in moral and family values, development in any sector will not be possible.”
He said, “Rather than words, the prime minister himself is working to bring qualitative change to the country through action. Regardless of party affiliation, political opinion, or ideology, the prime minister has called on everyone to help build a prosperous Bangladesh. Differences of opinion may be settled at the ballot box, but everyone must come together to build the country.”
Abu Abdullah M Saleh said the prime minister has moved away from obscurantist culture. “He does not glorify or praise anyone anywhere, unlike what was frequently seen before. The prime minister is not becoming detached from the people. He is working while staying connected with them. Every month, he visits at least one district outside Dhaka to strengthen public engagement.”
“This year’s budget is one of the government’s achievements. After the budget was passed, the prices of no products increased, and public life did not become more unstable. It is a people-friendly budget,” he added.
