Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said rain may occur in Dhaka and temperatures are expected to remain unchanged.

BMD confirmed the matter in a six-hour forecast for Dhaka and surrounding areas starting at 1 pm Thursday.

According to the forecast, Dhaka’s sky may remain partly cloudy to cloudy, with a possibility of rain or thundershowers. However, the daytime temperature is expected to remain nearly unchanged. Winds may blow from the south or south-east at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour.

At 12 pm, the temperature was recorded at 32.2 degrees Celsius, with a humidity level of 61 percent. On Wednesday, the maximum temperature was 34.4 degrees Celsius.

In another notification, BMD said light to moderate rain or thundershowers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, might occur at many places in the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, and at some places in the Rajshahi and Dhaka divisions.

Moreover, moderately heavy to heavy rainfall is expected in some areas across the country. Both day and night temperatures may decrease slightly.

BMD shared the information in a five-day forecast starting at 9 am Thursday.
