PM Tarique Rahman lands in China

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has reached China after wrapping up his two-day official visit to Malaysia. The Prime Minister's aircraft landed at Dalian International Airport in China on Monday at 10:55 PM local time (8:55 PM Bangladesh time).
According to the Prime Minister's press wing, he was received at Dalian International Airport by Bai Ying, the Vice Governor of Liaoning Province, Yao Wen, the Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh, and high-ranking Chinese government officials.
Earlier on Monday, at 5:00 PM local time, Tarique Rahman departed Kuala Lumpur International Airport for Dalian on a special Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight. He was seen off at the airport by Malaysia's Minister of Religious Affairs, Zulkifli Hasan.
The press wing further said that the Prime Minister is visiting China for a four-day official visit at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Qiang. During this visit, he will participate in various high-level bilateral meetings to discuss Bangladesh-China relations, trade, investment, infrastructure development, and other matters of mutual interest.
The Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary, Atikur Rahman Rumon, said the Prime Minister will stay in Dalian for two days, where he will attend the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum.
Following his stay in Dalian, the PM will head to the Chinese capital, Beijing, where the main events of his visit will take place. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to hold a meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping on June 26.
