Fire breaks out at jhut warehouse in Gazipur

A fire broke out in a jhut warehouse in Konabari, Gazipur around 5:30 am on Thursday.

Gazipur Fire Service Deputy Assistant Director Sayedur Rahman confirmed the matter.

Five units of the fire service are working to bring the flames under control. No one sustained injuries or died in the incident.

Locals said they tried and failed to extinguish the blaze, they called the fire department. Three units from the Konabari Fire Service and two units from the Sarabo Fire Service rushed to the scene.

Sayedur added, “The fire was brought under control around 9 am. The cause and the extent of the damage are not known yet.”
