Iran rebuilds damaged weapons systems after US strikes and adds new equipment

Washington had claimed that US Israeli strikes had destroyed Iran’s military capabilities. However, Iran now says that after the war it has rebuilt its damaged military systems and added new weapons and military equipment. The remarks by Iranian military spokesman Mohammad Akramnia indicate that Tehran is continuing efforts to quickly rebuild its military capabilities after the strikes.
Iranian state television quoted Akramnia as saying, “All systems of the armed forces have been rebuilt, including the damaged systems. New systems have also been imported.”
He claimed, “The new systems have been produced through the defense industry and the armed forces. Some of them have also been imported from abroad. These systems have increased our combat capabilities.” However, he did not say which countries had supplied military equipment to Iran.
President Donald Trump previously claimed that US strikes on Iran had destroyed the country’s military capabilities. However, experts have questioned this assessment. Iran still retains the capability to attack ships and target US allies in the Persian Gulf.
