Heavy rain lashes Dhaka, storm warning for 5 regions

Dhaka experienced heavy raining since Wednesday morning. Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said light to moderate rain may continue until noon, with storms expected to hit five regions by evening.
The weather forecast for the next six hours starting from 7 am on Wednesday added that the sky over Dhaka may remain partly cloudy to temporarily overcast. Light to moderate rain may occur today. Wind may blow from the south or southeast direction at 10-15 kilometers per hour. Daytime temperature may decrease slightly.
At 6 am, the temperature in Dhaka was 28.6 degrees Celsius, while the humidity stood at 87 percent. The minimum temperature stands at 28.3 degrees Celsius.
The weather forecast for the country’s inland river ports from 5 am to 1 pm on Wednesday said temporary rain or thundershowers accompanied by squally or gusty winds with 45-60 kilometers per hour from the south or southeast direction may blow over Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Chattogram, and Cox’s Bazar regions.
The warning advised the river ports in these areas to show cautionary signal number 1.
