Woman dies in Bogura crash with state minister’s vehicle

A pedestrian injured in a car accident involving the State Minister of Public Administration and Food Abdul Bari has died in Shibganj, Bogura.
Shibganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Shahinuzzaman confirmed the matter. The victim, Firoza, passed away on Friday at a hospital in Bogura Sadar.
Earlier, the accident occurred around 9 am in the Gopinathpur area of Kichok union on the Mokamtala-Joypurhat road.
OC Shahinuzzaman said, “The pedestrian injured in the accident was taken to the private TMSS Medical College Hospital. She died there around 12 pm.”
Abdul Bari was traveling from Dhaka to Joypurhat on an official visit. As his motorcade arrived, Firoza suddenly stepped in front of the vehicle. In an attempt to avoid hitting her, Abdul Bari’s car veered off the road and fell into a roadside paddy field. The incident left Firoza injured, and locals rescued her before sending her to the hospital.
However, following the collision, he and his wife departed for Joypurhat in another vehicle.
