2 hacked to death in Kushtia feud over dominance

Two individuals were hacked to death following a dispute over local dominance at Osmanpur Union in Khoksa, Kushtia around 1 am on Saturday.
Khoksa Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Molla Zakir Hossain confirmed the matter. The deceased have been identified as Faruk Hossain, 45 and Abdul Sheikh, 30.
According to local sources, Salim Hossain and Samirul Molla had been in a long-standing dispute. Samirul and his associates attacked on Salim’s house.
Although Salim sensed the danger and managed to flee, Faruk, Abdul, and Mulluk Mondal who were present at the residence at the time, were attacked and sustained critical injuries.
Faruk and Abdul Sheikh died on the spot and Mulluk managed to escape. After the attackers fled, locals notified the police. Police arrived at the scene and sent the two bodies to the Kushtia General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
OC Zakir said, “Police have been deployed as tension prevails in the area. An operation is underway to arrest those involved in the incident.”
