Rail services restored after track break in Natore

A broken rail track in Bagatipara, Natore, cut off Rajshahi from the national rail network for nearly two hours until repairs were completed, with the Banalata Express departing at 8:40 am Tuesday and the Silkcity Express at 9 am.
Rajshahi Railway Station Manager Ziaul Ahsan confirmed the matter and said locals spotted the broken rail track in the Lokmanpur area. After they informed the railway authorities, workers halted train movements and launched repair efforts.
West Zone Railway General Manager (GM) Farid Ahmed added that workers constructed the West Zone Railway lines nearly 100 years ago. Because the lines have become very old, the rail tracks frequently break or manifest various kinds of problems, which forces passengers to endure suffering.
He noted, “We have already taken up plans for modernization and repair of rail lines. We hope that passengers will get relief from such suffering in a short time.”
