Cocktail explosion at a women's Madrasa, 5 students Injured

Five students were injured in a cocktail explosion inside a women's madrasa in Kalkini, Madaripur. One of the injured, a student named Abida Akhtar, was sent to Dhaka as her condition is critical.
The incident took place this Saturday morning at the Darus Sunnah Women's Madrasa in the Gopalpur area of Kalkini Municipality.
The loud blast of the explosion spread panic throughout the madrasa and the surrounding area.
Speaking to several locals, it has been learned that students were arriving at the madrasa this morning as usual. At that time, a cocktail exploded inside the madrasa, injuring five students.
After the explosion, locals rescued the injured students and took them to Madaripur 250-bedded District Hospital. After initial treatment there, Abida was sent to Dhaka.
Zahirul Alam, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kalkini Police Station, said that police and CID have begun investigating the incident. Other officials are also on the ground. After the investigation is complete, the actual cause of the explosion and details about those involved will be known.
