US business keen to invest in Bangladesh: Gor

US Special Envoy for South and Central Asian Affairs Sergio Gor called his meeting with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman fruitful, adding that US businesses are keen to invest in Bangladesh - with an investor delegation set to visit as early as next week.
Gor met with Tarique at the PM’s Office on Saturday morning. During the session, the two leaders also discussed the strengthening of bilateral relations.
After the meeting, he said, “Today I called on the Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to discuss the great opportunities between the US and Bangladesh to strengthen economic cooperation and enhance our partnership. This is a priority for the United States, and working together we can achieve real results!
Gor added that American investors will visit Bangladesh to assess which sectors offer viable investment opportunities.
