Storms with 60 km/h winds set to hit 7 regions

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said light rain may occur in Dhaka and storms with speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour may hit seven regions across the country.
According to the weather forecast for the six-hour period starting from 7 am on Saturday, the sky may remain partly cloudy. Light rain is expected and winds may blow from the south or southeast at a speed of 8 to 12 kilometers per hour, while daytime temperatures are expected to remain unchanged.
At 6 am, the temperature in Dhaka was recorded at 28.10 degrees Celsius, with humidity at 87 percent. The minimum temperature is 27.60 degrees Celsius.
Another weather forecast for inland river ports, valid from 5 am to 1 pm, added that storms may occur in seven regions by the afternoon.
Temporary rain or thunderstorms, accompanied by gusty or stormy winds blowing from the south or southeast at speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour, are expected over the Khulna, Barisal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, and Sylhet regions.
River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
