Karatoya City Crowned BPC Football Champions-2026

The inaugural BPC Football Championship 2026, organised by Bogura Professionals’ Club (BPC), was held on Saturday at Turf Nation in Tejgaon, Dhaka.
The day-long tournament featured four teams—Karatoya City, Nagar United, Atletico Jamuna and Real Bangali—formed with players representing all 13 upazilas of Bogura district. The teams were named after the district’s four historic rivers, said a press release.
In a thrilling final, Karatoa City faced Real Bangali. After a fiercely contested match ended in a draw in regulation time, Korotoa City secured the title by defeating Real Bangali 1-0 in the penalty shootout, becoming the first-ever champions of the BPC Football Championship.
The prize-giving ceremony was attended by BPC President and Co-founder Munjurul Karim, Secretary and Co-founder Muhammad Masudur Rahman, and other members of the club’s Executive Committee.
Among the distinguished guests were BPC Patron Member Group Captain Shawkat-ul-Islam Jinnah, Additional Secretary to the Government of Bangladesh Md Tarikul Alam; Dr Md Abdur Razzak, Suraiya Akhtar Jahan, DIG of Bangladesh Police Mir Ashraf Ali, Additional Commissioner of the Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police Md Shafiqul Islam, Executive Director of Gram Unnayan Karma Khandaker Alamgir Hossain, Joint Secretary to the Ministry of Law Kabir Uddin Pramanik, General Secretary of Dhaka-based Greater Bogura samity Md Mosharraf Hossain Chowdhury, Managing Director of MM Glass & Engineering Md Touhidul Islam Titu, former Director General of the Public Works Department Md Ashraful Alam, Additional Director of the National Security Intelligence (NSI) Alamgir Hossain, General Manager of Max Infrastructure Limited Mazharul Limon; along with other distinguished personalities from various professions.
Rizvi Ahmed, Chief Coordinator of the Organising Committee and Co-founder and Treasurer of BPC, said the club would continue to organise such sporting events regularly to strengthen friendship, harmony and professional networking among people from different upazilas of Bogura. He also expressed sincere gratitude to all the players, supporters, guests and sponsors whose contributions ensured the successful staging of the tournament.
