Bangladesh’s Innings End with Taskin’s Dismissal

Taskin Ahmed showed little concern for playing along the line of the ball, instead swinging his bat freely. This only increased the frustration of the Pakistan bowlers at a rapid pace. The ball flew to the boundary off Taskin’s bat, and he also sent one sailing over long-on for a six. With this fearless, carefree batting, Taskin produced a brilliant cameo that helped Bangladesh cross the 400-run mark.
However, the Bangladesh pacer could not carry this aggressive innings very far. Bangladesh were eventually bowled out for 413 runs in the first innings.
Bangladesh’s innings ended with Taskin’s dismissal. He scored 28 runs off 19 balls, hitting three fours and one six, before being caught at slip off the bowling of Shaheen Afridi. Saud Shakeel took a sharp catch, diving to his left to hold on to the rocket-fast edge. Taskin had gone for a shot at a ball well outside the off stump, and the thick outside edge flew between first and second slip before Shakeel reacted quickly to complete the catch.
With Taskin’s dismissal, Pakistan brought an end to Bangladesh’s innings. At the other end, Nahid Rana remained unbeaten on 4 runs off 23 balls. The pair added 29 runs together.
