Actress Ridhika's hanging body recovered from Bashundhara

Dhaka Metropolitan Police has recovered the body of model and actress Ridhika Ridhi from a Bashundhara residential apartment in the capital. She was found hanging from a ceiling fan around 6:00 AM on Saturday. She was later taken to Kurmitola General Hospital, where doctors declared her dead.

Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mazharul Islam of Bhatara Police Station told Agamir Somoy that preliminary circumstances suggest she might have committed suicide. However, the matter is being investigated. Based on the family's complaint, a case of abetment to suicide has been filed.

Citing information received from the family, the OC said, "Ridhi had a romantic relationship with someone. Early Saturday morning, she had an argument over a video call with that person. At one point, Ridhi committed suicide while still on the video call."

In addition to modeling, Ridhi acted in several dramas. Notable among them are "Ekhane Manush Bikri Hoy" (People Are Sold Here), "Bohurupi" (The Chameleon), "Double Honeymoon", and "Sundori" (The Beautiful One).
