Fire erupts at Apex Building in Dhanmondi

A fire broke out on the 5th and 6th floors of the Apex Building located on Road 27 in Dhanmondi, Dhaka around 10 am on Thursday.
Fire Service and Civil Defense Media Officer Talha Bin Jasim confirmed the matter. Four units of the fire service rushed to the scene and are working to bring the fire under control.
So far, authorities have received no reports of casualties or anyone being trapped inside the building. The cause of the fire and the extent of damage remain unconfirmed.
The fire caused severe traffic gridlock on Dhanmondi Road 27 and Mirpur Road. To ensure smooth passage for fire engines and emergency vehicles, officials advised commuters to take alternative routes.
