Fire hits old Mohakhali building after Dhanmondi blaze

Another fire struck Dhaka within an hour of a previous blaze in Dhanmondi, this time breaking out in an old building located behind British American Tobacco (BAT) and SKS Shopping Mall in Mohakhali on Thursday.
Fire Service and Civil Defense Media Officer Talha Bin Jasim confirmed the matter. Three units from Tejgaon Fire Station were dispatched toward the scene to extinguish the flames.
Fire Service reported that scrap plastic materials caught fire on the roof of the old building. An electrical substation occupies the third floor of that building. They added that the fire will not spread.
So far, authorities have received no reports of casualties or anyone being trapped inside the building. The extent of damage remain unconfirmed.
