The government has banned the use of the Prime Minister’s photograph on banners, festoons, and billboards prepared for official events.
The directive was issued in a circular signed by Tania Afroz, Deputy Secretary of the Cabinet Division, on Sunday.
According to the circular, the use of the Prime Minister’s image, whether in 3D or any other format - on banners, festoons, and billboards for government programs is now strictly prohibited.
Instead, all promotional materials for official events must prioritize the event’s theme and present relevant, balanced information.
The circular also instructs authorities to ensure that the design of banners, festoons, and billboards clearly reflects the purpose, message, and subject of the event.
It states that the directive is of immediate effect and must be implemented without delay.
