President Donald Trump declared that ‘the American Dream is back’ as the United States marked the 250th anniversary of its founding, using the celebration to highlight his administration’s policies and project American strength.
Speaking at the anniversary event in Washington, the Republican president praised the country’s achievements while emphasizing his own leadership. Trump also criticized communism and spoke about what he described as America’s renewed strength and global influence.
During his address, Trump defended his administration’s actions in Venezuela and Iran and outlined key elements of his legislative agenda.
He highlighted the proposed Save America Act, which focuses on election reforms, as well as his executive order seeking to end birthright citizenship. Trump also reaffirmed his support for the Second Amendment and efforts to protect Americans’ right to bear arms.
Addressing supporters at the event, Trump said, “The American Dream is back,” repeating a message he has frequently used to describe what he considers the restoration of America's greatness.
Despite the celebratory tone, Trump’s foreign policy continues to face criticism. His handling of the conflict involving Iran has drawn scrutiny at home and abroad, with critics arguing that it has strained Washington’s relations with key allies. His administration has also faced backlash over its involvement in Venezuela, with opponents accusing the United States of unnecessary interference.
