Prime Minister’s Political Assistant Rashed Khan said Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman was the first to betray the spirit of the July Uprising.
He made these remarks on Saturday after visiting the Muraridah Mia’s Building in Jhenaidah.
Rashed added, “Nahid Islam was on the right track until the uprising. However, he has gone astray since stepping into the ‘trap’ of Jamaat. NCP has now been transformed into a children’s wing of Jamaat.”
