Unbelievable batting collapse leads to big defeat for Bangladesh

At the end of the second day, Bangladesh trailed by 73 runs with 8 wickets in hand. On the third and final day of the preparation match for the Australia tour, the Bangladesh batting lineup witnessed an unbelievable collapse. They lost their last 8 wickets for just 26 runs and were bowled out for 54. As a result, the Tigers started the series with a heavy defeat by an innings and 38 runs.
Overnight batsmen Tanjid Tamim and Soumya Sarkar started the day cautiously. However, Thompson dismissed Soumya when the score was 28. Soumya returned to the pavilion for just 5 runs.
