Prime Minister: 'We want to build a beautiful Bangladesh through collective efforts'

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has expressed his determination to build a beautiful Bangladesh through the collective efforts of all.
He said that the July Mass Uprising and the sacrifices of the people at various times had the primary goal of building a developed Bangladesh.
The Prime Minister made these remarks on Saturday at an event held at the Prime Minister's Office in Tejgaon, where appointment letters were handed over to family members of 10 individuals who were martyred or critically injured in the July 2024 Mass Uprising.
During the event, the Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon and 'We Are BNP Family' member secretary Agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun were also present.
Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplu confirmed the information.
The Prime Minister said, "Some of you present here have directly participated in the July movement, and some of your loved ones have taken part in it. Because of your own sacrifices or those of your near ones, the people of Bangladesh are now able to live in a free environment."
On the occasion, the Prime Minister highlighted the sacrifices of the people from the 1971 Liberation War up to the July 2024 movement. He noted that the core objective of all these sacrifices was to build a developed Bangladesh, where the people of the country could live better lives.
The Prime Minister's message is: "Those we have lost, those who have been physically injured, or otherwise affected—all their sacrifices carried a yearning, and that was to make Bangladesh better."
The Prime Minister also acknowledged various limitations of the state and government. He made it clear that despite these constraints, the country must be moved forward based on ground realities.
According to the government chief, "What we receive is not the most important thing; rather, what we can give back to the country is what truly matters. If we can move forward gradually with this goal in mind, then we will be able to build the Bangladesh we desire in the days ahead."
The Prime Minister further added that efforts to duly honour the sacrifices of those martyred and injured in the July movement would continue. He expressed hope that through everyone's collective efforts, it would be possible to build a beautiful and developed Bangladesh.
At the event, appointment letters were handed over to family members of 10 individuals who were martyred or critically injured in the July Mass Uprising. The recipients included: Sabina Akhter Rima, wife of martyr Md. Sohag; Razia Khatun, wife of martyr Md. Shahriar; Afsana Akhter, wife of martyr Md. Abdullah Kabir; Aklima Akhter, wife of martyr Md. Mostafa Kamal Raju; Sumaiya Akhter Subarna, wife of martyr Md. Jewel; Samiya Islam Popy, sister of martyr Miraj; Hafiza Akhter Happy, wife of martyr Ahsan Kabir; and Farzana Akhter Rani, wife of martyr Omar Nurul Absar.
Additionally, Sabana Akhter, wife of critically injured Md. Abdul Matin, and Mosammat Arju Akhter, wife of critically injured Md. Zulfikar Alam, received appointment letters.
Recently, Fatema Tuz Zohra, mother of martyr Abdullah Bin Zahid, and injured July fighter Soheli Tamanna have already joined their posts. They also met with the Prime Minister at the event.
The family members of the martyrs and the injured July fighters expressed their gratitude to the Prime Minister upon receiving the appointment letters.
