New divisional commissioner in Rajshahi, new DCs in 3 districts

The government has appointed Md. Yusuf Ali, Member Director of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation, as the Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi. At the same time, new Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and District Magistrates have been appointed in Natore, Gaibandha, and Rangpur.
Two separate notifications were issued in this regard by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday night (19 August).
The notification said that Additional Secretary Md. Yusuf Ali has been appointed as the Divisional Commissioner of Rajshahi. Prior to this, he was serving as Member Director of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation.
Another notification cited that the three newly appointed District Commissioners are: Mosammat Sumoni Akhtar, Deputy Secretary of the Posts and Telecommunications Division; Dr. Md. Moniruzzaman, Private Secretary (PS) to the Minister of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives; and Israt Jahan, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs. They have been appointed as District Commissioner and District Magistrate of Natore, Gaibandha, and Rangpur respectively.
Earlier, on Tuesday (18 August), Natore DC Asma Shahin, Gaibandha DC Mohammad Masudur Rahman Molla, and Rangpur DC Mohammad Ruhul Amin were recalled.
On the same day, through another separate notification, Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner Dr. A.N.M. Bazlur Rashid was also recalled from his post and placed under the Ministry of Public Administration for his new duties.
