DMP arrests 483 in 24-hour crackdown

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 483 individuals and filed 59 cases during regular operations over the last 24 hours.
DMP Media and Public Relations Division Additional Deputy Commissioner Niaz Mehedi confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
According to the DMP, the arrests include 34 people from the Ramna Division, 33 from the Lalbagh Division, 80 from the Wari Division, 53 from the Motijheel Division, and 45 from the Tejgaon Division, 132 from the Mirpur Division, 40 from the Gulshan Division, 55 from the Uttara Division, and the Detective Branch (DB) arrested 11 individuals.
During the raids, police seized 120 kilograms of cannabis, 12,375 Yaba tablets, two packets of heroin, five liters of local liquor, and 11,480 fake creams, 11 mobile phones, 526 bags of rice, two knives, one motorcycle, and one private car were confiscated, and two victims were rescued.
