Six dies in 24 hours on suspicion of measles

Six people died across the country in the past 24 hours, from 8 pm Wednesday to 8 am Thursday, on suspicion of measles. The Directorate General of Health Services control room said this in a press release issued today, Thursday, August 6.
According to the release, 733 suspected measles patients were reported in the past 24 hours, while the number of suspected measles patients from March 15 to August 6 stood at 133,638.
The number of confirmed measles patients in the past 24 hours was 85. From March 15 to August 6, the number of confirmed measles patients stood at 16,740.
From March 15 to August 6, a total of 115,879 people were hospitalized with suspected measles. During the same period, 111,587 people recovered and were discharged from hospitals.
Six people died on suspicion of measles in the past 24 hours. From March 15 to August 6, a total of 764 children died from suspected measles.
No one died from confirmed measles in the past 24 hours. From March 15 to August 6, a total of 96 people died from confirmed measles.
