10 More Children Die of Measles and Measles-Like Symptoms

Another 10 children died from measles and suspected measles across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours. With this, the total death toll has risen to 575. During the same period, 732 children contracted measles and measles-related symptoms.
The Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services disclosed the information in a press release sent on Friday. The figures cover the period from 8:00 am Thursday to 8:00 am Friday.
According to the press release, the country recorded 674 suspected measles cases in the last 24 hours, while the total number of suspected cases reached 68,579 between March 15 and May 29. Authorities confirmed 58 measles cases in the past 24 hours. The total number of confirmed measles cases stood at 8,943 during the same period.
Between March 15 and May 29, hospitals admitted 54,798 patients with suspected measles. During this period, hospitals discharged 51,511 patients after recovery.
