The government has introduced a long-awaited transfer system for private school and college teachers and employees. They will be able to transfer against 62,150 vacant posts across the country. This includes 51,813 teaching posts, 8,194 administrative posts, 1,991 instructor posts, and 152 trade-related posts.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) published a notification regarding transfer applications for MPO-listed teachers working in private schools and colleges. A 14-point guideline must be followed for transfer applications. Teachers will be able to apply online from August 21 to August 27.
"No T.A./D.A. or any other allowance, including transportation, will be provided for the transfer. Furthermore, after the transfer order is issued by the DSHE, the teacher must be relieved from their current post within 10 days and must join the new workplace within the subsequent 10 days. However, the days from the date of relief to the date of joining will be counted as service period," the notification stated.
The guidelines also mention that an applicant can apply to a maximum of three institutions in order of preference. Following the completion of the process through automated software in accordance with the transfer policy, the authorities will issue the transfer-based posting orders. The applicant teacher must request a transfer to their own home district as mentioned in their job application. If there are no vacancies in their home district, they can apply against existing vacancies in any district within their own division.
There are also guidelines for working couples. It states that an applicant teacher can apply for a transfer to the home district of their spouse, or to the district where their spouse works (only if the spouse works in a government, semi-government, autonomous, or MPO-listed educational institution).
