Police detain man at Dhanmondi 32

Police detained a man who came to pay respects at Dhanmondi 32 on the death anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on Saturday morning.
The identity of the detained individual could not be immediately confirmed, and police quickly removed him from the scene.
Meanwhile, security has been tightened in various parts of Dhaka. Since the morning, police presence has been observed in several areas, including Dhanmondi 32.
Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) press release on Friday said Dhaka has been brought under a security blanket to counter any unwanted incidents or disruptions to public safety.
Picket and checkpoint duties are being carried out and searches have been intensified by setting up checkpoints at all entry points of the city.
Alongside these measures, members of the Detective Branch (DB) and the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) unit will also be active in the field.
