HAAB unveils 3 private Hajj packages for 2027

Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) has announced three private Hajj packages for 2027, with the lowest cost set at Tk 5,13,545, second package at Tk 5,95,580, while the Special Hajj Package will cost Tk 7,91,060.
HAAB President Syed Golam Sorwar announced the rates in a press conference held on Wednesday at a hotel in Dhaka.
The announcement follows Tuesday’s briefing by Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain (Kaikobad) who detailed two government-managed Hajj packages.
Under the government plan, the minimum cost for the affordable package is Tk 5,05,648, while the package featuring improved facilities is set at Tk 6,15,263.
Kaikobad said no private agency can offer a package with fewer services or benefits than the government’s Hajj Package-2. The registration deadline for this year’s Hajj is 24 September.
He added that Government Hajj Package-1 costs Tk 6,15,263. Pilgrims using this package will stay within 1,000 to 1,400 meters of the Haram Sharif in Makkah and in the Markazia area of Madina. In Mina, they will be accommodated in Zone-2 tents.
Moreover, Service Package-3 will provide meals and Moallem services in Mina and Arafat. While the typical stay in Saudi Arabia lasts 35 to 40 days, pilgrims can opt for room upgrades or short-term packages by paying additional fees.
For the affordable Hajj Package-2, priced at Tk 5,05,648, accommodation in Makkah will be located between 2 and 3 kilometers from the Haram Sharif. In Medina, pilgrims will stay within 800 meters of Masjid al-Nabawi but outside the Markazia area.
Tents will be provided in Zone-5 in Mina. Following Saudi government regulations, Salawat bus services will be available if hotels are more than two kilometers away.
Kaikobad said, “The government’s election manifesto contains promises of affordable, accessible, humane, and expatriate-friendly Hajj management. In line with that, through the Prime Minister’s initiative, the airfare for Hajj flights this year has been reduced by Tk 24,830 compared to last year and set at Tk 1,30,000.”
