Pakistan has delivered a revised proposal from Iran to the United States aimed at ending the war in the Middle East, a Pakistani source told Reuters on Monday. The source warned that the parties involved do not have "much time left" to bridge their differences.
Later, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that Tehran's position has been "conveyed to the American side through Pakistan." However, he did not provide further details on the matter.
A fragile ceasefire is currently in place following six weeks of war triggered by US and Israeli airstrikes on Iran. However, the Pakistan-mediated talks have stalled, and US President Donald Trump has stated that the ceasefire is now in its "final stages of survival."
The Pakistani source did not provide any specific details about the revised proposal. When asked whether it would take time to resolve the differences, the source mentioned that the parties are "frequently shifting their positions," adding, "We don't have much time."
