Four Bangladeshi nationals were injured in a drone and missile attack at Kuwait International Airport. The attack, carried out on Wednesday (June 3), also injured many foreign nationals and killed one person, according to the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuwait.
In a statement signed by Counselor and Head of Mission Mohammad Moniruzzaman, the embassy said the injured Bangladeshis have been admitted to Farwaniya Hospital, and the embassy is regularly monitoring their health conditions.
The embassy also issued several instructions to Bangladeshi citizens residing in Kuwait. It warned that, under Kuwaiti law, taking photos or recording videos of such incidents—especially rocket or drone attacks and interception operations is a punishable offense. Therefore, everyone has been urged to refrain from capturing or uploading such images or videos on social media.
Additionally, due to a shortage of blood supply at Kuwait’s Central Blood Bank, the Bangladesh Embassy has called on eligible Bangladeshi expatriates to donate blood and encourage others to do the same.
Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Kuwait reported that one Indian national was killed in the airport attack. According to Kuwait’s Ministry of Health, at least 63 others were injured in the incident.
Health Ministry spokesperson Abdullah Al Sanad said, “Sixty-three injured individuals have been taken to various hospitals. Some are in critical condition. The injuries include head trauma, brain hemorrhages, amputations, and various explosion-related wounds.”
