The UAE Ministry of Education has ordered nationwide online classes following the series of attacks across the country. Throughout Monday, reports emerged of continuous drone and missile strikes.
The UAE confirmed that the Fujairah fuel hub was damaged in the assault, resulting in injuries to three Indian nationals. This facility is the country's only energy hub that allows for land-based oil exports, bypassing the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran Denies Responsibility for Attacks on the UAE
The Iranian military has denied claims that the attacks on the United Arab Emirates were launched from Iran. A statement citing a senior Iranian military official asserted this position.
According to military sources, it has been clarified that the strikes on the UAE did not originate from Iranian territory and were not operated from there.
Previously, on Monday, the UAE accused Iran of carrying out the attacks. The UAE air defense units claimed to have intercepted several ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones fired by Iran.
The drone strikes caused a massive fire at a critical oil installation in Fujairah province. The UAE Ministry of Defense stated in a press release that four missiles were launched from Iran. Three were destroyed in mid-air by the UAE's robust defense systems, while the fourth landed in the sea. Additionally, several drones were successfully intercepted.
Iran and the United States have carried out retaliatory strikes over control of the Strait of Hormuz. The United States claims to have destroyed six small Iranian military vessels. Meanwhile, Iran launched drone strikes on the Fujairah petroleum facilities in the United Arab Emirates. The UAE stated that its air defense systems are currently engaging missiles and drones originating from Iran. (Reuters)
