The Iranian delegation, led by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, has departed Islamabad following a day of high-level meetings.
According to Al Jazeera correspondent Osama Bin Javaid, the delegation presented a formal list of demands to the Pakistani leadership regarding the cessation of the U.S.-Israel conflict before their departure.
During the visit, the Iranian representatives discussed regional stability and peace efforts with Pakistani leaders. It was intended that Iran’s positions would be communicated to Washington through Islamabad's mediation.
Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised the meeting with Foreign Minister Araghchi, describing it as the "warmest and most cordial exchange of views on the current regional situation." He noted that the discussions covered various matters of mutual interest, including the further strengthening of Pakistan-Iran bilateral relations.
However, the delegation's departure without the anticipated second round of direct U.S.-Iran talks has created new uncertainty regarding the future of the diplomatic process. (Source: Al Jazeera)
