At least 8 people have been killed in Russian missile and drone attacks on Ukraine, with another 34 injured, according to a report by Qatar-based media outlet Al Jazeera.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the "horrific attacks." On Monday, he stated that at least five people were killed and 28 injured in a Russian missile strike on the city of Dnipro, located nearly 100 kilometers from the front lines.
Regional governor Oleksandr Hanza, in a Telegram message, said that among the dead was a 13-year-old girl. He added that victims suffered "severe head injuries, shrapnel wounds, broken bones, and blast injuries."
Zelensky also reported that at least three people were killed and six others, including children, were injured in a drone attack in Zaporizhzhia.
Meanwhile, Russia on Monday reiterated its position on ending the war. The Kremlin stated that Moscow's stance on a peace agreement has remained unchanged since 2024. At that time, President Vladimir Putin had demanded that Ukraine cede four regions and abandon its plans to join NATO. Source: Al Jazeera
