Brazil is currently in the United States for their Hexa mission (seeking a sixth World Cup title). But it's not just players and coaching staff accompanying them — Brazil has brought a whopping 10 tons of boxes and luggage for this World Cup trip!
According to a report by Brazilian media outlet Globo, the Brazil national team is taking almost everything they might need to the United States for the 2026 World Cup — not just players and coaches. The team is carrying approximately 10 tons of supplies. These include medical equipment, training materials, nutritional supplies, and essential items for the players.
That's not all. Brazil has also brought a mobile medical center to handle any emergency situations during the World Cup. It will be equipped with advanced medical equipment, medicines, and facilities to provide rapid treatment to players.
But why so much for a single World Cup trip? It has been learned that Brazil wants its members to feel as if they are in a "familiar environment" during the tournament. The team's medical department, physiotherapists, nutritionists, and performance specialists will ensure that the squad does not face any shortages during this journey.
Team officials believe that besides on-field performance, logistics and medical preparedness are extremely important for success in a long tournament.
Compared to four years ago in Qatar, Brazil is carrying almost twice the amount of supplies. Back then, Brazil stayed in just one city, and the amount of equipment was also smaller.
Guilherme Passos, Brazil's physiologist, said: "The New York Red Bulls' training center has a lot of technology and infrastructure like ours, but no one has a medical department like the one we set up in our hotel. We set up a medical department in whichever hotel we stay. We bring all our physiotherapy equipment — lasers, ultrasound machines, shockwave therapy devices. It's almost like a mobile ambulance service."
A total of 91 members are accompanying the Brazil team on this World Cup trip. They include players, coaching staff, medical and fitness specialists, security personnel, and administrative and management team members.
So Brazil's World Cup campaign is not just about star footballers — an entire "operations center" is going along!
The Seleção will begin their World Cup mission with a match against Morocco on June 14.
