Mexico Beats Czechia 3‑0 to Stay in Group A

Mexico maintained their perfect streak in the FIFA World Cup 2026, eliminating Czechia with a clinical 3-0 victory at Mexico City Stadium.
Already guaranteed the top spot in Group A, El Tri secured their third consecutive win while ending Czechia’s tournament dreams.
Czechia started aggressively, needing a positive result to advance. Denis Visinsky nearly scored in the eighth minute, but his low strike whistled past the post. Mexico eventually found their rhythm after the break.
In the 55th minute, Mateo Chavez utilized his superior pace to break through and calmly slot home the opener. Just six minutes later, Julian Quinones doubled the advantage from close range, sparking bedlam in the stands.
Manager Javier Aguirre further delighted the home crowd in the 78th minute by subbing on legendary goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
The 40-year-old icon is now making history by appearing in his sixth World Cup edition. Alvaro Fidalgo added the final touch in stoppage time, polishing off a dominant performance that sent the fans into raptures.
Mexico now enters the Round of 32 with massive momentum, while Czechia exits the competition.
